In July 2015, we found out that we were expecting twins. A few months later, we discovered we were having twin girls. On December 22, 2015 after having decreased fetal movement, we found out that we lost Twin A, Emalyn. I was 29 weeks pregnant. I gave birth to my babies on January 4, 2016 by emergency c-section after spontaneous labor at 31 weeks. Our living twin, Grace, was in the NICU for 10 weeks. She is a happy, beautiful little girl and brings so much joy to our lives. However, not a day goes by that we do not think about Emalyn. For months, we have felt called to help other bereaved parents. We set out to start a nonprofit organization, EMALYN'S ANGELS. We feel this is a great way to give back and help others that our experiencing the loss of a child as well as keep our sweet angel's memory alive.
